Individual Dynamic in Organizations (IDIO) course in Q2 of my MBA journey allowed me to experience the “Coaching” process. When initially I heard about this, it did not seem very promising since my understanding of coaching was imagining the role of teachers who coach us daily. So having a separate 3-part one-on-one talk with an external did not initially seem exciting. Although curious about the process, I readily dived into it.
I am grateful to Rathi ma’am for being my mentor in this process since this changed my perspective towards the coaching process and made me realize how I can improve and go beyond the mental roadblocks I had set for myself.
The process of not judging and making me question my assumptions and reasons, along with setting my personal goals and objectives, has been very interactive and fresh. My involvement and self-reflection were highly valued and that made me enjoy the process even more.
